Welcome

ArchaeoDomus was established by Ross Cook in 2014 after leaving work with the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales. The practice specialises in historic buildings and the built environment, delivering detailed recording and specialist advice to a wide range of clients. The aim of ArchaeoDomus is, and has always been, to offer archaeological services and heritage advice to the highest possible standards, whilst ensuring the clients' requirements are understood to meet their aims.

Since establishing in 2014 we have built up a client base throughout Wales and England, in the private and public sectors. Our clients include Cadw, Magdalen College Oxford, Christ Church Oxford, The Brymbo Heritage Group, and the Tower of London.

Ross is the Cathedral Archaeologist to both Canterbury, and St Davids, Pembrokeshire, and is the Consultant Archaeologist to Christchurch Priory, Dorset.

We undertake a range of archaeological and heritage services, through which we pride ourselves on delivering a high level of service and expertise, striving to provide competitive prices to private and business customers alike.

SERVICES

Archaeological services can be a part of a number of different projects, from buildings surveys to add to a report or project, to watching briefs to monitor for archaeological deposits during the development or alteration of a site, and everything in between.

Advice can be provided through both the pre-planning and works phases of any project. This can range from the assessment of proposed plans, suitability of materials and affect any work will have to the historic fabric and significance of the building or site.
